I second that - a guide would be nice for the uneducated ;-). I am running serviio in a windows environment.

Thanks...

Re: Web UI in PHP

Serviio is the best supported medieserver sw I've found, and I've tried at least 25 diff. distros. Only thing it needs imho is a way to configure it as headless in an easy way, possible via browser. I've read somewhere, that somebodys working on a livecd with serviio, maybe thats the answer...It would make it easier for us linux noobs, who can only repeat what others are doing, not really understanding it... :D

Re: Web UI in PHP

Hello,
I'm new to both serviio and this nice Web UI.
However, unless many other packages, I've been able to startup and run all...Wonderful job...
Now I need to understand how to set Genre/Artist... etc.. properties for each file...

Re: Web UI in PHP

This web UI seems to work really well, thanks for doing this. I have one bug however: on the 'transcoding' tab, setting 'Keep original' keeps reverting to 'Downmix to stereo'.

I still may fix issues reported here, but you need to ping me via PM or direct E-mail, so I can see it :)
Also it is better to have some tracker.

I am trying to get the web portion installed on my vortexbox(fedora 14). I followed the instructions on the clearfoundation link.

If I point my browser to http://IP address of vortexbox/serviioweb/

I get the following - it does load part of the info -

getApplication(); if ($version!=$version_req) { $tab = "error"; $serviio->error = "Required Serviio ${version_req}, but found '${version}'"; } include("code/${tab}.php"); if ($serviio->error && $tab!="about") { $tab = "error"; } ?>

My main goal is to get the web portion to show up like squeezebox does http:\\vortexbox:9000

Re: Web UI in PHP

Hello

If you see the PHP code in the browser, then it means either:
- the PHP is not installed
- the PHP is not enabled
- short_open_tag = off

If later is the case, then change the php.ini to have "short_open_tag = on"

Thanks.
