Re: Can't see folders and files on my TV

What model Samsung TV? What profile has Serviio assigned to it? What format (container, video and audio codecs) is your media in? If the TV doesn't think it can play any of your media, they won't show.

Re: Can't see folders and files on my TV

First let me say as a fellow Samsung TV owner, their DLNA client is terrible. With some models, it won't even play transcoded files. And sometimes it will begin playing and then some time later will give you an unplayable error. I stopped using the TV interface a long time ago and either use a Blu Ray player or Roku player as my device of choice.

There, had to get that out :D

First, I suggest using the Samsung H profile, rather than the E/F. Might not make any difference, but who knows? Next, when you entered your shared folders in the Serviio console, did you select the correct boxes for the media within those folders? Myself, I keep video, audio and pictures in separate folders, and make sure the console has each folder set with the correct content information. I've never tried mixed content in the same folders, so can't say for sure if it is an issue.

I switch to H profile and no result.
I also, as you are doing, separate pictures and movies.
I will try to connect to my laptop using Android TV box i have.
Will update.

Zip would have to say if that's the way it's supposed to work, but it does match my theory that each type of media needs to be separate folders. Glad it's working now. :)

One comment - it was separate but as 2 subfolders to one folder.
Now it is totally separate.
