Subtitle problem

Hi guys, I've been having problems reading subs from srt files on my TV, it used to work perfectly but a while ago the option for subtitles simply stopped appearing. I still have subtitles enabled that are embedded in the mkv file, but if I try to use SRT files they don't show up. I reinstaled serviio to no avail. If I read the mkv file from a usb drive connected the TV, the SRT works fine. I tried various subtitles options in Serviio, but it still doesn't work. Also, the "burned in" subtitles option prevents the file from playing at all. Retrieving subtitles from opensubtitles.org also doesn't work. Thank you for your help.

Are you using the correct profile for your TV?

Have you tried resetting the settings to defaults

Hi, turns out the problem lies in my Sony TV default video app. VLC works normally, so no problem with Serviio. Thank you for your replies!
