Artist and track info from online audio sources

I use Serviio to feed my Netgear MP101s. Those boxes have been around since before internet radio... but they still work great for music. When I feed them my ripped CD library, the display includes the artist and track information. When fed online feeds (either from Serviio or previously from Twonky) I see only the station name and the elapsed time since I tuned to that station.

If I tune into a stream using Winamp, I see the artise, genre, song name, etc.

Example - http://s1.nexuscast.com:8043/

It would be great if Serviio could pass along the artist and track info...

Re: Artist and track info from online audio sources

I would also like to be able to see artist and track info when streaming from internet radio stations.

Here is the ffmpeg output as requested above, plus the output for one of the stations I use:

  Code:
F:\Temp\ffmpeg-4.1-win64-static\bin>ffmpeg -i "http://s1.nexuscast.com:8043/"

So for me it would be great if I could see the StreamTitle property from the Metadata, and obviously have it update as it changes.

Thanks.

It would be a very nice facility but it may depend on several factors to work properly.
1. Do all stations follow the same standard.
2. Are all devices and Apps designed to access/handle/show the resulting information e.g. in my case BubbleUPnP.

Many station websites show the current playing and recently played information. By making the stations "Favourites" then with two clicks on my tablet I can see the info on sites such as JB Radio-2, Venice Classic Radio and until recently The Jazz Groove (they have changed their website and messed it up - I have reported the issue).
But this facility would certainly be much better.
There was an earlier topic/suggestion/request on this issue.
Serviio Pro v2.3, DBpoweramp & Asset UPnP (R7.4), HP Elitebook, HP Pavilion, Windows 10 Pro, Linn Majik DS/1, NEET AirstreamPro renderer, Naim NAC72/NAP140 (x2), Celestion Ditton 25 and Spendor A5 speakers, WD TV Media Player (x2), Panasonic Blu-ray DMP-BDT360, Panasonic TV, Amazon Fire 7 HDX, Kazoo & BubbleUPnP apps, Qobuz Studio Hi-Res.
