PS5 & Serviio

Has anyone found a way to play local network files with Serviio on the PlayStation 5 yet?
Odd that it would lack streaming, or even the ability to play local files, but if I remember correctly the PS4 was really late to get this functionality as well.

Re: PS5 & Serviio

I haven't seen the PS5 yet, only the 3 and 4. Are there any player apps that can be installed, such as VLC or Kodi? I have no idea what might be available, I'm just throwing out a couple of names I know of that might work if there's a PS5 version.

Re: PS5 & Serviio

I wouldn't expect Kodi or VLC to be available as I've not seen them on any previous PlayStation.
I had some hopes for a new "Media Player", but some quick searches tell me there is none yet. It seems like it might be able to play files from a USB-device using "Media Gallery", but that doesn't help with streaming.

You might check the USB player. The one for Roku devices also works with DLNA.
