browser access movies and quality setting

Hello everyone, I have serviio 2.1 pro and it is working great in the home. When i access the movies using a browser it works as long as the quality setting is low or Medium. When i set it to Original (1080P) it shutters and pauses. This happens even if i use a local computer on the local network using a browser. The serviio computer is AMD ryzen 3800x 32gb ram and SSD drive. It has plenty of resources, it doesn't do anything else. Is there any way to get this to work on original setting or is there another method for connection via PC. I do this mainly when travelling. Thanks

Re: browser access movies and quality setting

If you only see it when traveling, what is your home Internet's upload speed? If you are like many home users, your upload speed is far slower than your download speed. In my case, I can download at almost 108 Mbps, but my upload speed is only 10 Mbps. At that speed nothing in HD will play at full speed.

my internet is FIOS 400Mbps/400Mbps. My internal network is gig. I should have enough for streaming several 1080p remote but i can't even do 1 on HD original setting.

Yep, that's a good speed. And your PC should certainly not have any issues with performance. Perhaps Zip can offer an opinion. I can't see any reason for it to be like that.

I also suffer from this same thing. But now I am satisfied with the guide that I have seen here.
Thanks.
