Re: whs 2011

The WHS 2011 addon is not made by teh devs of serviio it is a third party addon so all support for it needs to be directed to this topic.

zip wrote:As said before, you have to log into your HP using Remote Desktop and install it using the .exe as you would on a normal PC. It will not appear in the WHS console, because there is not add-in for it (although I'm looking for volunteers).

What I normally do is:
1) copy the .exe on your shared drive, e.g. Public
2) log into your HP using Remote Desktop
3) copy the .exe from Public onto the Desktop (you cannot execute anything from your shares)
4) right-click on the .exe and click Unblock
5) run the .exe
6) after installation open the console and share your drive like: \\Music, \\Videos, etc.

Here is the link to a thread that has an Add-in for serviio 0.5.2 that still works for Serviio 0.6 with out the online sources information.

Fom the creater of the Add-in.
ptyork wrote:Nope, it just works. Or at least it works sans any of the new online feed stuff. I've been pounded lately with work and defending a dissertation, but I've already begun the work of getting a 0.6-specific version of the add-in. For the time being, though, you can upgrade to 0.6 via remote desktop and rest assured that it will not break the WHS add-in.
