Issues with the start of the Serviio app on Mac OSX

Hi, I installed the latest version of serviio on mac osx 10.7.2 and i have some troubles launching it. When i click on Serviio.app the icon starts jumping in the dock and it stops only after a couple of minutes and after if i right click on it, it tells me that the app is not responding and the only way to close it is to force quit it. Is that the normal behaviour?it's the first time i try to install serviio on a mac, on windows it works perfectly.
If you need more infos just let me know.
Any kind of help is really appreciated!

Thanks

Tellicious

Re: Issues with the start of the Serviio app on Mac OSX

I'm sorry, i forgot to tell that after jumping for some minutes the icon stopped and rested in the dock saying that the app was not responding...after some tries i added to the dns list of my mac my router's ip and i added a shared directory to serviio and now it runs fine (after the startup the icon disappear)..don't know what happened

Re: Issues with the start of the Serviio app on Mac OSX

again i've got this issue..i'm sorry! :) the icon jump for quite a long time and then it stops and says that the application is not responding; sometimes after 5/10 minutes the icon disappears, sometimes it just stays there.

But can you actually see Serviio on your TV and stream files?

Re: Issues with the start of the Serviio app on Mac OSX

Indeed, the thing is this is an app without UI (the console is there for that) which causes OSX to make it non-responsive (no user input). I'm still trying to figure out how to fix this.

Re: Issues with the start of the Serviio app on Mac OSX

Like previous posters, the Serviio icon disappears from the dock of Lion OS although the activity monitor indicates that Serviio is still running. I have the latest version of Lion and have installed the most recent version of Serviio, although the problem pre-dated this. Has a fix been found for this problem yet?

Re: Issues with the start of the Serviio app on Mac OSX

can you start the console app? If yes it's all you need in terms of user interface, as long as the server is actually running.

Re: Issues with the start of the Serviio app on Mac OSX

Yes, the console app seems to work fine - I just don't like the idea of not being able to see at a glance if Serviio is running or not.

Re: Issues with the start of the Serviio app on Mac OSX

I have the same issue since I updated to 10.7.4

The Server part does not load and become un-responsive. The console works but the behaviour is not normal and I can't stream any content to my Sony Bravia anymore!

PLEASE HELP US!!!!!!!
