Serviio can't find my HT-C5900

I'm trying out Serviio but can't get it to connect to my Samsung HT-C5900 BD player. I'm using a fixed IP address for the player. The console status field shows a yellow dot. I've tried refresh and server restarts with no success. The firewall ports 8895 and 1900 are open on my Windows XP SP3 system. Any hints what to try next?

Sorry, can't do that as they are not close to each other. They communicate via wifi.

Yellow dot is weird, as this device should respond to the UPnP search and therefore should be either green or red (active/inactive). Yellow dot is for devices that don't support this.
Can you see the player in DeviceSpy?

Re: Serviio can't find my HT-C5900

I am having the same issue. My samsung LN52a750 was working great with 0.4 but appears with a yellow dot in serviio console. My TV does not see the server either. It does however see the 0.4 server. The TV is using a fixed IP address that I must enter into serviio 0.5 as it does not find it automatically. It does manage to find my sony bravia and works as expected.

Does the Samsung show in Intel's DeviceSpy?

OK when I ran DeviceSpy I realized that I have another instance of serviio (0.4) on another system. Now serviio 0.5 shows up and works as expected. However, the console shows a yellow dot for the tv.

Thats is correct. Yellow means it cannot decide whether it's on or off as it doesn't support the functionality (as proved by it not showing in DeviceSpy)
