Samsung TV at fault? Won't play unless restart

I have been playing slideshows on a Samsung TV using serviio & all is fine except new files added to the directory are not played despite having the "Keep Library Updated" option being checked
I enabled debugging and added a file to the directory and serviio added it!
I believe the fault lies with the Samsung TV itself since if I walk over to the TV and stop the slideshow, I can NOW see the added file and can play it.
So..... it's NOT serviio!
The TV doesn't recognize that a file has been added!
Can someone verify this????

You are right. The TV made a request at some point for contents of a folder and it plays the files that were there at that point.

So.... is there any solution other than manually walking over to the TV & (essentially) restarting it every time a photo is added?

I don't think so, you have to get out of the folder (on TV) and get back in.

Thanks for getting back to me.
I guess I'll be getting my exercise! ;-)
