Samsung UE39F5500 disconnection problems

Hello all,

I have read quite a few posts about the same issue but I cant seem to see a fix for this, I purchased my UE39F5500 a few months ago and setup a wireless connection to my router (ISP Provider is TalkTalk). I installed Serviio from the start and have been having the disconnection issues randomly, sometimes I can get through a whole tv series episode without having a problem but then other times it stops and says "Media Disconnected". When i get the disconnect Serviio then disappears out of the available devices list, the only way to get this to return is by pressing the standby on the tv and then starting it back up again, i have also tried to use a wired connection using a Powerline and have come across the same problem. I have also tried using Allshare and Plex, but they all suffer the same problem which leads me to the conclusion its either the tv or the router. I have been on my router as well and DLNA is enabled but it shows (Share Directory: Use Root Path) as ticked as well not sure what this means?.

Not sure if anyone has a fix for this but please advise if anyone has cured this problem for themselves and what the fix was.

Cheers

It might be the wifi connection. Did you try with cable?
