Sony smp n100 subtitles

Yes, I understand that this has been a topic before.. I have looked and fiddled and fiddled and can't seem to edit my xml config file to get subtitle support working

I have no idea if I have US or EU firmware for one...

Is there any chance somebody with working subtitles on their smp n100 could upload their config file and any other steps needed?

What country are you in ? What where did you buy your media player?

I am also struggling with this problem. I called the Sony help desk and they claim that the SMP-N100 supports only DIVX format movies with subtitles over DLNA. I am trying to get more technical details from them and will post here if I find out anything more.
