no FF and RW available =>background Transcoding: how to?

Hi guys, Serviio is a very very good product, thanks to your job.
I still need some information before have a "official deployment" in my house

I'm running servilo on a Win PC with a Sony bravia client. I understood that is not possible to FF and RW with my TV because my files are not Mpeg2 native (divx) and Serviio must transcode on the fly.
Question are:
1) if I transcode all my files with the right profile of my Sony TV, will be possible to FF & RW?
2) Is possible with Serviio to setup a batch Job that can transcode on background all my video library if needed?
