GT20E plays with a lot of breaks

Hi,

I have a GT20E (3D Plasma) and managed to install Serviio 0.6.2 on Win7. The TV is unrecognized in Serviio, so I took the Panasonic Viera Profile manually. But unfortunately, a lot of movies produce a "data not readable"-error (avis, the same video do play on the TV, when copied to a USB-Stick before). And some videos are playing and stopping for a second and then continue to play and stop again. I had an XVID-Avi with that phenomenon. The network connection is ok (100 MBit, cable).

Is there another profile available for the GT20E? Or what can I do?

Re: GT20E plays with a lot of breaks

The generic Panasonic Viera profile in the current version of Serviio is fairly weak, b/c at the time there were not enough users to test it and help make a better one.

Since then, Cerberus made two more complete profiles which are posted in a thread at the top of this forum, here:

viewtopic.php?f=13&t=5119

You can choose either one (depending on your model), insert it into the profiles.xml file, select it instead of "Panasonic Viera", and then let Cerberus (and other people here) know if anything else needs to be added.

The problem with starting and stopping may be due to a high number of reference frames used in the avi file you are trying to play, and it has been mostly solved in the new profiles. This is also something you can detect if you run MediaInfo on the video file, and/or post the text version of MediaInfo output in this forum.
