Anyone streaming desktop to Panasonic TV?

Is anyone successfully streaming their PC desktop to a (recent vintage) Panasonic TV as described in this Serviio wiki http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=stream_pc?
As you can read in the "Streaming desk top to tv" thread beginning here: http://forum.serviio.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4660&start=80#p35081 and going on until P15, I'm having severe difficulties in so doing.
I can display photos & videos from my PC via my network thanks to Serviio onto my remote Panasonic TX-L37GW20 TV in high quality, but my best efforts at streaming my desktop to the TV end up with poor image quality (on-screen objects fuzzy, "ghosting" and "pulsing/beating" at 2-3x/sec) and with the image severely overscanned (bottom row of my 2-row taskbar cut off and the other 3 desktop edges similarly cut off) despite my very capable 6-core CPU and other hardware to match.

Re: Anyone streaming desktop to Panasonic TV?

Just so others do not interpret this as a Serviio issue, I'd point out that you have a 1920x1200 (16x10) monitor which appears to not be supported by the required Screen Capture software. Since you get the fuzzies when playing the stream locally on your PC the problem is not with your TV and others with more standard 16x9 monitors have not had similiar capture quality issues.

Re: Anyone streaming desktop to Panasonic TV?

Thanks for the clarification, jhb50, but my query remains valid and any answers will be of great interest to me. From all that I've read about and experienced with Panasonic TVs to date, their DNLA implementation seems to be somewhat less than ideal in comparison to TVs from other manufacturers.

Re: Anyone streaming desktop to Panasonic TV?

According to the manual you posted for me there are a number of settings for your TV that mess with the virgin picture, such as overscan. These should all be set off but I doubt they will effect your fuzzies since you said they were on your PC playback too.
