Quinny - did u get the ultra ReadyNas ? OK for HD ?
Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 0.6.2 Netgear ReadyNAS Ultra 4 Plus (x8
Yep Ultra 6 (with 6x3tb drives in X-Raid with dual redundancy).
I found the built in ReadyDLNA wont play mkv, some avi or h264 to my Panasonic Tvs which is why I am keen to get this version working. Since the ffmpeg fix I can now see the files on both Panasonic and the newer one plays all 3 file types (woot). HD is perfect streamed.
The second (an older 2010 model) is still being iffy but thats a Panasonic issue which the new version of serviio hopefully fixes (I had tried copying over the updated Profiles.xml file with the fix added but does not look like thats worked).
Yet to test the Ps3 and xbox360.

Hopes you will consider an update to the new 1.0 for this package. My bedroom Panasonic still wont play some files in 0.62 but they all play in 1.0
Thanks again for all the work on it

Martin,
First of all, thank you for developing this Addon Package. I am very grateful that you are willing to share your work with those of us that do not have the skill to install Serviio on the ReadyNAS alone.
Like Quinny, I have installed your addon on my ReadyNas Ultra 2+ and installed the console on my WINS computer (pointing to the NAS). The console launches just fine, and can see the NAS just fine through the console. I have also purchased the FFMpeg addon from here: http://www.readynas.com/?p=6090 and installed it. However, the library will still not build.
I have pulled Serviio log from the NAS, and like Quinny, it reads:
2012-08-08 20:11:09,471 WARN [ProcessExecutor] Cannot retrieve results, stderrReader is null
2012-08-08 20:11:09,496 ERROR [ProcessExecutor] Fatal error in process starting: Cannot run program "ffmpeg": java.io.IOException: error=2, No such file or directory
I could try his solution and install the Subsonic Addon, but I would rather not load unnecessary software onto the NAS.
Do you have any thoughts on why Serviio is not seeing this installation of FFMpeg? Or can you provide a zipped copy of your FFMpeg installation and advise what directory to put it in on the NAS?
Thanks.
John

Hi Jgasparine,
I just installed then un-installed it. The ffmpeg stayed. Worth a shot.

Hi guys..
Newbee here... I have a readynas pro 6 (x86) running plex today which i access remotely thru internet in various locations.
( working around the world and like to have my movies easily accessed)
Plex is using myPlex to handle communication between my client and the plex server.
I saw something about that regarding to serviio too.
Is it possible with this plugin?
Remote access and client login?
regards
Hans

Hey Guys,
because Servio has changed to be "payware" i am not willing to give support anymore.
I run PMS on my NAS, which works fine for me for free.
Bye
Martin
