Recognition of media types

How does Serviio 1.6 internally determine if a file is of a supported media type (ffmpeg?)? I have set up a test folder where I have placed a few video files of various formats, and find that certain files are recognized, and some are ignored. One file that was ignored was a vp9/vorbis file in an MKV container. I thought Serviio supported these codecs The following output was produced by the ffmpeg utility installed with Serviio 1.6 with the command:

C:\Program Files\Serviio\lib>"C:\Program Files\Serviio\lib\ffmpeg.exe" -i Y:\Temp\test.mkv
Input #0, matroska,webm, from 'Y:\Temp\test.mkv':

COMPATIBLE_BRANDS: isomiso2avc1mp41
ENCODER : Lavf57.28.102
Duration: 00:42:27.01, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 642 kb/s
Stream #0:0: Video: vp9, yuv420p, 720x576, SAR 16:15 DAR 4:3, 25 fps, 25 tbr, 1k tbn, 1k tbc (default)
HANDLER_NAME : VideoHandler
ENCODER : Lavc57.28.103 libvpx-vp9
DURATION : 00:42:26.841000000
Stream #0:1: Audio: vorbis, 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp (default)
HANDLER_NAME : SoundHandler
ENCODER : Lavc57.28.103 libvorbis
DURATION : 00:42:27.006000000

Is there a procedure for configuring Serviio to recognize this type of file?

Re: Recognition of media types

This file I think should be added to the library. You might not see it on your device if there is a missing transcoding rule in your profile. Does it show in MediaBrowser?
