WDTV Live & Serviio

I've recently purchased a WDTV Live to use as a streamer rather than the PS3 and it's working great.

However, would there be any reason for me to still have / use Serviio as I now stream direct from a network share.

Is there anything else Serviio can do for me?

It can serve live streams. They load very slowly. It can also pass on videos from other online content sources using plugins.

Re: WDTV Live & Serviio

The thing I like about serviio is that it automatically indexes and sorts the files. So no need to have it all neatly tucked away in correctly names dir's, because it'll do it for you. Also pulling the metadata and box art for you automatically.

EDIT: I use serviio with WDTV Live too :)

How is this done, as this is something I'd like to be able to do, but can't work it out :(

I've extracted the zip file of plugins into the plugins folder, restarted etc, but nothing.

Where am I going wrong, or is there a step by step guide?
