It's possible the update messed up a setting that enables DLNA devices. I only have one Samsung TV left in the house, and the user interface sucks completely. I had to go to Best Buy and pick up a remote with all the buttons, because they have all gone to remotes that only have a few buttons. Using this remote, I have a dedicated Source button that works fine.
I can't say if there's some setting to enable finding network media players, because I stopped using the Samsung player interface more than ten years ago. I use external players, such as a Roku or Nvidia Shield. There's also the Chromecast player, Walmart sells several Onn media players, and of course there's tons of generic Android based players available online.
