Recent: 1.0.1 Pro appears to lose connectivity to Devices
Version: Pro 1.0.1
OS: Win 7 Ult. SP1 64-bit
Serving: Toshiba Satellite L775D, 6 GB RAM
Also Running: Subsonic server, Nero HomeMedia
I have been running Serviio for over a year without incident. It just flat out works. However, in the past couple of weeks the server just fades and dies with respect to connectivity with my devices [iPad 3, iPhone 5, LG BDxxx, X-Box, PS3].
Recent network changes: I set my Laptop to a Static IP with new port forwarding to ensure my Subsonic is available to me while I travel out of state. Initially there was no issue. Not entirely sure this has any actual affect on Serviio.
Additional symptoms are:
- service is running
- Serviio Console will freeze up if I attempt to make any changes -- Stop/Start service, alter device access, Force Library Refresh.
- I have to manually kill Servio Console
---- This does not restore connectivity.
- manually stop service, restart and then restore Console usually fixes.
- Reboot will restore for a time but eventually the devices lose ability to see the server.
I am not too keen on upgrading to the current version because you no longer permit me to add Renderers (a MUST to add my iOS devices). I am also not interested in learning how to hack my cfg files. There may be 10 year olds out there that would laugh but I am just not a crypto-code enthusiast -- I get enough of that on my job. I just want my software to Work.
However, if you Have a stepwise workaround I will be glad to give it a try.

Sometimes we must Change what we cannot Accept.
