derby.properties

Just a general question on tweaking and how things hang together...
What does the derby.properties affect and is it worthwhile tweaking it for large libraries?

I have tweaked to the below and will see if there's any noticeable improvement...

derby.storage.pageSize=32768
derby.storage.pageCacheSize=10000
