External hard drive issues with Mac

I am loving serviio. I am having an issue finding my external hard drive though. When I go to library it only shows my user profile or my computers hard drive. Am I missing something? Also I tried to set up a path but that didn't work and now I can't delete it from my directory. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
