ServiiGo Music files not working on android

So I installed the serviio server onto my PC today and I was able to get everything working through the internet, and almost to my android phone, but for some reason whenever I try to play audio files it doesn't play anything, if I go onto the music player it just says Unknown Error in red, PLEASE HELP ME.

I couldn't find like anything about this on the forums so please give me a speedy response.

You must open the ports 23424 on your router

If he gets that far the router is already setup correctly, so that won't be it.

What file types are you trying to play back? Mp3 or something else? What is your device / android version?

You could try 2.0 Beta 2 (download link is in the main ServiiGo thread linked above).

I am getting the same error. I have version 2.2-PRE loaded on my kindle fire. I downloaded it from a link that was provided in the forums.

I am trying to play mp3 files. This just started happening within the last week.

Is there a newer version I could download and try? The app I loaded from Google play on my android phone works great and is the latest version.

Where is the link so that I can take it down as thats a) old, and b) pre-release/non-stable build.

Can you not get it onto your kindle fire via Google Play/or from sideloading it off of your phone? If not, send an email to the support email listed on Google Play and I'll send you the apk.

I was able to sideload from my phone and that fixed the problem!

I don't know why I didn't think to do that.

As far as the link goes I believe I got it from the forums here back in March. Not sure where though. Thank you!
