Unable to get Serviio Pro remote access to work.
I have tried to set this up following the directions and cannot get it to work any way. First off I am an IT professional so I think I have tried everything but am looking for help getting this to work.
What I have tried before
automatic configuration (UPNP is enabled on router) and it cannot get it configured.
Manual configuration with the correct remote IP address which is static.
Forwarding Port 23424 as instructed in the setup directions to the computer running Serviio.
Turning off windows firewall.
Putting the computer with Serviio on it into DMZ zone on the router.
Using the http://www.dnsdynamic.org as instructed to try to connect via hostname.
None of these solutions work and since I have already paid for Serviio pro instead of just trying the 15 day trial I would really like to get this running.
Thanks in advance for any and all help.
EDIT: I am not sure what is going on but even though Serviio console says it failed to connect upon testing connection the remote app on android now connects correctly. Might be a bug in the software but since I am not a programmer I am not sure.
