Multiple devices playing same stream at the same time

So , I have an online stream configured in Serviio.

I have 3 devices watching this stream at the same time from 3 WDTV.

How does it work, is serviio downloading the stream 3 times and resending it to my WDTVs or serviio gets it only once and manage to replicate it 3 times to the WDTVs?

it is 3 downloads for three independent devices eventhough its a same stream. All online streams are transcodes on the fly so you have two things going on. FFMPEG transcoding as fast as it is receiving the stream and a seperate ffmpeg session sending transcoded file to the device - so 3 x 3 = atleast 6 sessions.
