Issues with Color Distortion, Subtitles, UI, Etc

Hello, this is a great service. I'm coming from using PS3 Media Server but someone mentioned that they used this on Reddit so I figured I'd try it.

So far it has a lot of great things and it seems pretty awesome that it detects things behind the scenes in an awesome way and is an automatic start up (it is isn't it?), but I have a few questions.

First off, the first thing I wanted to do was use the transcoding options kind of how I use the PS3 options. Basically I use MMFPEG or whatever on the PS3 Media Server and when I go to my Xbox 360 (my main streaming device) and go to the folder and select a file, let's say an episode of Valvrave (we'll get back to this example), it will have an option for each of the episodes, but if I go to the "TRANSCODE" folder at the top of that list, it will show me all the audio track plus subtitle options in different files so I can choose whichever has let's say Japanese / Subtitles English - Signs and Posts. This is very useful. More so, it allows the option to skip (because the streams won't let you fast forward or reverse) to 5, 10, 15, 20 or really any increment you set up in the UI. Again, useful if something bad happens.

- 1. Unfortunately I didn't see any of those options, and so I was able to find a way to get it to accept some unknown subtitle (my files have two English subtitles, the sign and post version in English (for if it's Japanese but English dubbed and still has those signs in Japan or something), and the standard all text in English version) of those two options, and indeed it will play them BUT ONLY if the audio isn't English, if it's English it won't play any subtitle group no matter what I do (such as the sign and auto subtitles I'd like to have). This is annoying but it's not a deal breaker.

Second, I looked at this media server thing and it definitely seems to be great, unfortunately all the categories I disabled to make it more succinct (I left folders and another) are suddenly back on the MediaBrowser and I can't seem to modify it, that's annoying.

- 2. Nothing I've done seems to be able to fix this.

Now we're getting to the big stuff. I've only done this with a few episodes to test, but it seems that some anime episodes, such as all the ones from Arpeggio of Blue Steel (Ars Nova) and Valvrave when viewed using the MediaBrowser will automatically default to Original (which is good I want everything at great quality), but in a color distorted form. Basically the colors should be space light blue with everything set up to work and the beams and explosions normal colors. Instead everything is a yellow / green tinge and explosions are a sickly yellow and orange. I've never experienced this. When turning it to medium these changes go away but obviously the quality disappears. I'm not certain how to remedy this. When using the 360 to simply transcode the file directly from the computer (which has 16 gigs and an i7 4770k) it seems to play in proper colors with subtitles working and all things, so a traditionally normal file. I need to fix this color distortion and I don't know how. What is causing it with the TOP QUALITY model? Is it a faulty transcode? I've tested this with a few others, such as the Legend of Korra which had both MP4 and .MKV files and subtitles and everything and at original quality there is no color distortion nor at medium (though image quality decreases).

- 3. Help?

I'm not sure if it's safe to enable access to this MediaBrowser to people outside of my router connection, likewise I'm not sure how to safely, or if the website or link to it changes and thus needs to constantly be updated.

Is there anyway to enable subtitles to be turned on and off through the interface of the 360 that is used for streaming much like the Media Browser has a CC button that can be pressed on and off to take the first "ENG" file? Likewise is there a way to discern these subtitles and choose different options?

Is there a way to enable this MediaBrowser to work in a standby or sleep mode on my computer? Also, is it possible for me to be able to play a game at the same time as this is running or will it cause issues?

Finally I have a Mp4 file that works perfectly on my computer using the VLC AND the Windows Media Player, it's a rip of The Fifth Element which I own. It will not be recognized as a file even as an MP4 that can be played. PS3 Media Server can't stream it or transcode it and nor can Serviio, the PS3 itself can see the file when transcoded.

Thank you kindly for any help you guys can offer to my questions.

That is currently a feature.

If you are on Linux, search the forum. It was related to either your Flash player plugin or graphics card. Or possibly FFmpeg version.

It won't work in sleep mode, the PC has to be alive. You can play game, unless someone is streaming transcoded video, which would suck your CPU.

Will it be modifiable?

I'm not on Linux, I'm using 64 bit Windows 7 and it seems to only be for some of the episodes not all of them, be they MKV format or MP4 or something else. My graphics card is current with the latest NVidia drivers, and as for Flash, I have the 32 bit version and 64 bit version of Flash 7. Any other suggestions?

That didn't help, I viewed that first, but I don't have some subtitle opening file that's bundled in as far as I can tell, and additionally typing in en,eng, english did get me one of the subtitles but both that I want are marked English so I'm not sure. I was hoping there's an option to cycle through a couple of them without having to modify more functions? So maybe the episodes would play with both and Ic ould just select them through the 360?

I'll modify the affinity so it doesn't use more than 4 cores then and I can multitask with hyperthreading.

Thanks for replying.
