Aspect Ratio - Source to destination
I have numerous DLNA devices on my network. They include WDTV, Sony BluRay Player, Samsung Blu Ray Player and a Humax 7510T.
Everything works fine except for the HumAX 7510T. The files play, except the aspect ratio is usually incorrect.
I have added a profile to include the following:
This ensures the Humax can play the files. It can support MPEGTS containers with either MPEG4 AVC or MPEG2 video formats, and supports AAC and MP3 audio.
I have recently solved part of my problem. It requires the DAR option - otherwise video are stretched. This is only applicable to source video files that are NOT a standard ratio- 1280x720 or 1920x1080 files are fine, but sources such as 1280x536 appear stretched.
Ideally I would like to try and avoid transcoding the video files if I don't have to. This provides extra features such as FF/REW and media length. So, is there a way to only transcode source video files if they do not have a standard aspect ratio?
Apart from this very pleased with the Serviio software. Any help is appreciated, and if required I can provide more information. I am reasonably versed with video conversion formats etc.
