ffmpeg and 100% high CPU

Hello. There are many articles about serviio, ffmpeg.exe and 100% high CPU utilization, but I haven't found an article to provide a resolution. So I apologize in advance if this is a duplicate question.

I have an HP-EX485 (single core processor with 2G RAM). It is running on Windows Home Server 2003. I installed Serviio .6.1 and now Serviio .6.2 after my system crashed. I noticed when the Serviio service is running, there is an ffmpeg.exe process that is running at 100% CPU. If I stop the Serviio service, then CPU is go back to normal (primarily on system idle). I assume it may have to do with catalog, but since I rebuilt the system, I only have approximately 4 files in my library. I let it run on high CPU for 2 hours. I checked later and the CPU is still at 100%.

Please advise. Thank you.

My assumption that my system crashed previously because it was running on high CPU for the longest time...and I did not know that. :(

Re: ffmpeg and 100% high CPU

This is a Windows Server Home Server 2003 environment. Can you tell me what log files you need and I will upload them?

I just re-read your statement, so I'm not sure if I am answering your question. In general, when the system is at high CPU utilization, the system runs sluggishly. I can try playing a movie on a remote system and see its performance. Is that what you mean?

Thanks.

Re: ffmpeg and 100% high CPU

Hello Zip. I uninstalled the software after experiencing high CPU. Last night, when attempting to create you the log file, I reinstalled serviio 0.6.2. However, this time I did not get high CPU. I will use the system this weekend with serviio installed. Should I experience the issue again, I will send you the log.

Thank you in advance!
