WDTV Live (Gen 1) problems - Connection Error
Hi All
I have my Main PC setup with Serviio to stream videos around my house and it seems to work perfectly with most of my kit, in particular my blu-ray player and my old xbox running XBMC, both of which work flawlessly.
However, as a lot of my newer video files are in h.264 format which my xbox doesn't playback, I decided to dust off my WD Live (Gen 1 2009) and see if it'd work. I switched on, went to media servers and there was my Serviio server and I could browse the folders fine and start playing videos perfectly. However, after about 5 mins or so (maybe slightly less time than that) I get a connection error and it stops playing. From that point onwards it no longer sees the Serviio server under the media servers section.
I have checked using my xbox and the server is definitely still working but the WD can't see it until I do a full power cycle.
The WDTV Live is running the latest version of the WDLXTV firmware (1.02.21-WDLXTV-Live-0.5.1.1 [flash]) and I'm running the latest version of Serviio.
For further info the WD and xbox are both connected via network cable to a router which is hooked up to my main modem/router via a cable too and is working just as a switch and a wireless acces point. I have ensured that the second router has upnp, DCHP, DNS disabled.
I also have a Sony Blu-ray player (S370) which picks up the Serviio server fine and plays video without any problem (though I did notice yesterday it seemed to have some isue whiles browsing my music on the server...)
My Humax HDR Fox-T2 sees the server but fails to connect with it...
Any help very much appreciated because I am truly stumped.
(I enabled detailed logging last night but it was very late and I had to give up playing around to get some sleep,I shall try to post a log this evening.
