Accessing serviio installed on PC, from a Mac

My housemate has serviio set up on his desktop pc (windows 7), and it runs 24/7

We access serviio on the PS3 in the living room without any problems - so serviio works fine

How do i access the shared folders on his pc (running servio) from my macbook pro laptop, which is also on the same network. I am running Snow leopard (Mac OSX 10.6.8)

Thank you in advance!

If you mean via MediaBrowser, then open your browser on:

  Code:
http://<the_mac_ip_address>:23424/mediabrowser

Make sure TCP port 23424 is open in the Mac's firewall and ask your mate to give you the password he set up in the console for remote access. All this is assuming you have the Pro version.

Otherwise ou can use a DLNA client running on the Mac, like VLC 2.0 (see wiki for guide)
