ps3 not detecting serviio

So i stood up serviio on my nas server running openmediavault which is basically Debian Squeeze. It looks to be running ok. So here's the problem

ipad 2 - can see Serviio and i actually stream, albeit choppy, but it works
ps3 - does not see serviio
marantz sr5006 - does not see serviio

the ps3 and the marantz sr5006 receiver are both connected with wire and of course the ipad is wireless

Anyone ever run into this?

MiniDLNA is detected by all devices so not sure if that helps.

So you have two separate networks.
On serviio console, you can bound the server IP address.
On windows terminal, could you execute: ipconfig /all

I do not have two separate networks. Just a standard home network with one linksys EA3500 router.
I just don't understand why my ps3 and my marantz receiver can't see serviio but my ipad can.

Because "I think" that PS3 and Marrantz are on a LAN with one IP subnet, and IPAD on Wifi is on another IP subnet...

Thanks for the input, i'll check my router when i get home, but i didn't set up any subnet from what i remember. And plus, the ps3 media server and minidlna both are detected by all my devices
so i think that eliminates that possibility. I'll make sure though for sure later tonight. Thank you again though

- Open serviio console, Clear all device list and save
- Restart serviio service
- Open serviio console and Refresh device lit.

Hey,

I've had my PS3 hooked up with Serviio for a while now. Never had any problems.

I did try it with a wired and a wireless connection and both seem to be working fine, I find the wireless one alot easier to set up. All you have to do is run Serviio on your PC/Server and scan for media servers on your PS3 and it should recognize it.

PS3s are better wireles IMO!
