works great but it still disappears from my samsung tv's input menu when my computer sleeps, and doesnt come back till i restart...

even though on in serviio cp it shows green icon next to this device...

rescanning from the tv or restarting service on pc doesnt fix it.

thanks.

i just checked the log and apon resume it has adds this line:

Sounds to me like your network card isn't coming back up after sleeping.

What's your OS?

yes it seems there is a delay between when my computer wakes up and serviio too, and when my nic comes online. maybe 5 seconds, but enough for serviio to think its not there ...

anyway luckily it appears to be fixed by specifying my ip address in the bind to option box in serviio cp

Re: [solved] not visible on tv after resume from sleep ...

i also found out another issue that probably was related. it seems when my computer is asleep my router decides to assign my ip to my gf's laptop if turned on, so this changing of ip's after sleeps prob was what was really confusing serviio.

and with the forced ip binding option in serviio cp this became evident as it would not work at all once my assigned ip had been changed.

so i set my router to only assign a specific ip to my computer, (the one i have set in serviio cp) and this fixed things. you could also just statically assign yourself an ip address too outside the range (but in the same class) that your router normally assigns.

anyway now i will try not using the serviio bind to ip address feature, as i suspect that now a have a fixed ip (not changing between sleeps) that it will function fine.

will post back
