[SOLVED] onkyo tx-nr609, DLNA, files inaccessable

So I have the onkyo tx-nr609, and the DLNA server recognizes serviio, but when I select it, the videos folder has an X over it and won't open. The music folder, however, works fine. So the device and computer are communicating.

I'm not sure what's wrong. Other info:
Windows 7
practically a noob, so please explain detailed tech stuff.
The console says "unrecognized device" - generic DLNA profile
The movies library is shared in the console, and the movies are all present in the media browser.

You're right. 8(

Thankfully I have a Samsung Blu Ray player. It has recognized Serviio, however, it gets disconnected before I can get anywhere.

The console still does not recognize either device listed. One is probably the stereo and the other the blu ray. I'm not sure how to tell which IP address belongs to which decice. I'm going to guess on one of them, and change the setting to Samsung TV/player (CDE-series). Hopefully this works.

Should I start a new thread re: Samsung? Just noticed the samsung sticky, I'll browse there, but would still appreciate replies. The Blu Ray player is a samsung c7500.

I would also need directions on how to post log files.

Hi. I recommend starting a new thread for the Samsung. There's a sticky to show one how to enable detailed logging. You can cut and paste the relevant parts of the log file into a post, and put
  Code:
[code] [/code]
tags around it to make it easier to read the post.

If you turn on just the one of the devices and try to connect to Serviio, you should see the IP address in the log. Assigning static IP addresses for your devices (where possible) might make things a little easier.
