Serviio disconnects / disappears every 3min

Hi,

Running serviio on windows 7, playing videos thru a samsung UE55ES7005 TV. But it disconnects after about 3min all the time, I don't even have to play something.
Serviio even disappears from the DLNA list. then comes back about 20 secs. Everything else on the server works fine.

It ran flawlessly on my old windows 2003 server with same TV and the same network-hardware (highend Asus router) so there shouldnt be a problem there.

I've tried downgrading java, different setups of the library etc. searched for answers everywhere but no luck.. I included some cutouts from logfiles.

Anyone had this problem or have any ideas? Thanks!

Re: Serviio disconnects / disappears every 3min

enable detailed logging, and after it disappears, look at the log. There should be message about advertising Serviio on the network and about when it'll advertise again. It looks like the notification expired and no other message got delivered to the clients about the fact Serviio is still live.

Re: Serviio disconnects / disappears every 3min

Hi zip, thanks for your answer and sorry for my late reply. Been away on business.

I don't really know what to look for, maybe you can help me or be little more specific? :)

I've attached a detailed log from: (with library update turned off to make it easier)
15:50 starting service and playing a videofile.
15:53 serviio disconnects and disappears from the dlna list then returns after a short while.
~15:54 stopping service.

Thanks

Re: Serviio disconnects / disappears every 3min

I thought i'd share a little update, maybe someone else gets the same problem.

After going thru the logs closely i realised that serviio was using the IP for the VPN/RAS-service that is using the same NIC.
I tried to "bind" the correct IP in serviio, no change.

BUT after uninstalling the VPN/RAS service it seems to be working fine!!

I will install a second NIC and try to run the VPN/RAS on that one instead, hope it works out..

Re: Serviio disconnects / disappears every 3min

Thanks. From your log it was binding to the .201 address. Can you run this program and post results? viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3923&hilit=ListNic#p26629

Also in the log it looks like it started advertising on the right NIC, but then either got locked up on the second one, or something else caused it from being finished untill 3 minutes later, by which time it already expired. Hopefully the output from above will help me find the problem.
