cannot connect remotely!!!!!!

i have the pro (trial for now) along with the add-in installed on my WHS 2011 machine. i am able to /setup/connect port forwarding to log into my server from anywhere. i'm not sure if there is something i am missing but i CANNOT connect to this service from outside the home. i can connect from both computers in the home, i cannot connect with Xbox 360 or anything from outside of home. this is what ive tried so far... is this my ISP blocking???
port forwarding on Router (IP *.*.*.3 for port 23424 using TCP)
Turned off firewall (both on server and outside computers)
tried switching the "bound IP address" to the *.*.*.3 instead of "default"

ANY ideas are welcome, i have spent a day and a half on this and i am about to scrap this software!! thanks for any help

Re: cannot connect remotely!!!!!!

The remote access only works via MediaBrowser or apps like ServiiGo. You can't connect to it using DLNA devices.

Yes, but you won't be able to access your server via a remote DLNA device, like xbox

Re: cannot connect remotely!!!!!!

ok, thats fine...im mostly concerned about conecting remotely with other computers. i have tried everything for port forwarding with the 23424, is there a different port i can try? any ideas how to get this working? i've followed all the instructions ive seen and i just cant get it to work (outside of the 2 additional computers i have in house). i am able to connect to my server though through the domain i created...just not the serviio software.

Re: cannot connect remotely!!!!!!

Did you try the new check button in 1.2 console on Remote tab?

Re: cannot connect remotely!!!!!!

yes it is giving me a green check mark.
do i have to putt in an "external address", right above the "check" button?
i have setup the router both manually and with the "UPnP" enabled...neither works. i have the IP reservation setup to server with 192.168.1.3
i have port forwarding for; servio-tcp-23424, https-tcp-443, http-tcp/udp-80, and RDP-4125 all setup for the ip of **.3 i have tried deleting the other ports (besides servio) and that didn't help either.
i am trying to connect remotely by going to this address;
192.168.1.3:23424/mediabrowser am i doing something wrong? thanks for helping so far...i just don't know what else to do.

Re: cannot connect remotely!!!!!!

192.168.1.3:23424/mediabrowser is a local IP. it's not an internet IP. Go to http://www.whatismyip.com/ and use that IP instead. Note that this IP might change in future if your ISP hasn't assigned static IP to you. In that case it's better to set up dynamic DNS, as per http://www.serviio.org/mediabrowser
