Several issues since upgrade to 1.2

Hi, I've used Serviio for a few releases and really love it. I often tell my friends they should try it and several have.

I use my Sony Bravia TV or PS3 to stream content.

Since upgrading to 1.2 several issues have started.

1. Series information has been lost.
2. Stuttering playback and audio/video sync issues.
3. PS3 will no longer play anything

1. Series information - I used to be able to browse the series folder and find all episode in a series in order and by season. Now the Series folder is showing as "nothing to display"

2. Stuttering playback - this was never an issue with 1.1, the playback is not throughout the whole content but just some of it and at Random.

3. PS3 - it is able to browse to all content in the Folders view but nothing will play. When attempting to play it stop with Network Error.

Any advise would be appreciated. I'll try and get the logs attached later tonight. Thanks

Hello, you can try FileBot from here : http://sourceforge.net/projects/filebot/ in order to have a proper naming scheme for your movies & series (semi-automatic file renaming using TMdb / TVdb); it´s available for Windows, Mac & Linux ;-) After renaming your files, please refresh the serviio db from the console ... let me know if this works for you ... (CAUTION : do not not rename your whole media collection before doing a test with some files [or perform a backup of your files before committing] => renamed files must show up in serviio and if you do rename a lot of files at the same time ... they have to be located in the same source directory otherwise FileBot may exit unexpectingly)

Random ? Try to see if there is any common properties of the involved files using MediaInfo from here : http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net; also available for any serviio supported OS ... i do have a 2010 Bravia TV ... you can try to add the maxVBitrate="value" [try different values from 20000k to 12000k] and "maxHeight="720" (for example my 2010 Bravia TV does not correctly handle Full HD serviio output => downscale to HD Ready using this tag is mandatory for me) tags for the profile you use to transcode involved files (if not transcoding, then please turn transcoding on ...)

Is your PS3 correctly detected in serviio console ? (correct local IP adress and correct PS3 serviio profile applied to it). If true, then be sure to transcode files who need to be for proper PS3 playback ...

Finally, how did you do the serviio update process from 1.1 to 1.2 ? What is your platform ? Are Java & FFmpeg (even if running Windows : http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/) up to date ? Also, please turn serviio detailed logging on to report playback issues ...

Please let me know about the effects of my suggestions ...

Good Night
