[SOLVED] MKV Movie wont play audio or video

Hiya guys and gals

Been using serviio for ages now, this is the first time it would not play a movie for me. My son is driving me crazy he wants to watch it It tells me unsupported audio and then unsuppoerted video on the TV. I attached the movie info Im using WIN 7 64bit edition. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks in advance

restart serviio completely cause that file should be supported now as we have transcoded it.

Thanks I did do a complete shutdown and restart of the computer as recommended from your first post. I will try again thanks for your help.

My Samsung C series player won't play any files with header stripping. So far the only solution for me has been to remux with mkvmerge v4.0 Later versions all enable header stripping by default and I haven't figured out how to tunr it off yet.

2. The framerate of 47 does not match the stream. My samsung BR will not play .mkv files > 30fps
3. All the streams are header stripped which creates problems.

Thanks Illico, setting Compression to "none" under mkvmerge 5.0 solved the header stripping problem and allowed the file to be played. There was another issue which will be another subject.

framerate wont be an issue as we are transcoding the file to make it play anyways.

OK got a bit of headway, used mkvmerge to sort out headers and got the movie to play. But Im getting audio codec not supported, Im so close I can smell it Any Ideas.

Truehd must be transcoded....(see cerberus previous post)

or

re-use mkvmerge and remux the audio tracks to put the ac3-5.1 in first position.

Thank you cerb replaced the proileand restarted serviio, video works still audio not supported. Remuxed and put the AC3 audio tracks at the top now I get unsupported video data?? Argggggh

Could you enable detailed logging (see signature), clean log file, restart serviio then start to stream the file (with cerb replaced profile), then post the log here?
Could you post "ffmpeg -i" of your remuxed file (the one with ac3 in first position)?

sounds like teh trueHD intergration isnt working, maybe i need to test that but i dont have a trueHD file to play with.
