Re: LG BD-390

I'll look later but Corba has nothing to do with streaming, it's there only to communicate between console and the server. But I suspect it needs to keep network connection and if it fails, I'd say there is something wrong with your connection keeping steady link - which would also make sense regarding your streams being interrupted.

Obviously this is just a wild shot ;-)

Petr,

What machine (renderer) do you recommend that you know works perfectly with your software...not a TV with built in wi-fi/internet, but a separate device like BD player or other? I am thinking of tagging and bagging the LG BD390 for all the grief its caused. Thanks.

wow, you really want to return your player to accommodate my sw? I'm honored :-) I think people with the Samsung players are ok, check the experience thread or ask in the forum.

I really would if I cannot get these issues resolved with the LG BD390 player. In my previous post with the debug info, I also listed MediaInfo on an audio encoding that wouldn't play. Now, I have the MediaInfo on a video encode that stops playing mid-stream....this is not a network (LAN) issue because I can replay the same file in fast-forward, and get past the point where it had previously stopped playing -- but then the minute I hit play to resume play, the file stops playing again and returns to the file menu on the player. Here's the MediaInfo:

Have you tried other servers, do the files stop playing as well?

Yes, Twonky Media Server, and the files play all the way through.

Re: LG BD-390

Petr,

I can't believe I had not figured this out sooner, but it turns out that the LG BD-390 can make LAN SAMBA connections to shared folders on a Mac, Linux, or Windows OS. I tested the SAMBA connection and it works perfectly -- without all the problems I had been having with playback, returning to menu after file ends, out of sync audio/video hiccups, etc. In addition, and I'm not really sure why, the picture quality is crisper. The downside is that you can only view all sub-folders, and there is no sorting by recently added, etc., and no thumbnails or transcoding (if an when Serviio will have a transcoding profile for the LG BD390?), which are very nice features within Serviio. Knowing that a SAMBA connection works flawlessly, would this information help to improve Serviio's compatibility with this player?

Re: LG BD-390

Hi, Samba is completely different protocol so it'll not help much. I'm currently working on removing Corba from the app so will see if you can see some improvement - will send you a beta when it's ready.

Re: LG BD-390

I add my experience with LG BD-390 saying it works perfectly with serviio with all my video files (mainly mkv).
The only lack is the ability to play subtitles (in my case they are often embedded in mkv container)
