Re: Selecting different audio streams (languages)
Hi everyone!
Serviio is great, but unfortunately the feature of allowing audio track selection on the TV is still not implemented.
I have played around a little bit with the Windows ffmpeg wrapper, but it did not work perfectly for me.
However, I have realized now, that all that is needed to be changed, is the command "-map 0:1" (where the 1 stands for the first audio track).
By changing it to "-map 0:a", ALL audio tracks are automatically included, so that one can switch the audio track with the TV!
I would really appreciate this feature a lot! I guess, that the "-map 0:a" option should also work for TVs, that dont allow audio track selection. (I suppose they will just use the first audio track - like before).
So this could be really easy and quick to implement. It would maybe be just one letter.

Welcome Markus!
If your files don't require transcoding most players allow selecting different audio channels. I have no experience with this with a TV, as most of my devices are separate, and my Panasonic is too old to play what I have without transcoding. You do bring up an interesting possibility, and the best place to bring this up would be in the Feature Request sub-forum. Serviio also uses Bitbucket for feature requests, http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=bitbucket

Re: Selecting different audio streams (languages)
Ok, I have posted the issue now in the feature request board, as suggested.
I know already about the ticket system - in fact I have read about the -map 0:a command there at first
(it is in the comments of a similar ticket)

Re: Selecting different audio streams (languages)
Here's a UI mockup I put together in mspaint to visualise what I'm suggesting:
Hello !
Where did you find these options ? ^^
Under the "Transcoding" tab, in video settings, I only have "Produce the best video quality" option and "Audio channels" (Keep Original/Downmix to stereo).
I would like to force the french "audio stream" on my movies but I can't figure out how ^^
Thanks a lot !
Re: Selecting different audio streams (languages)
it's still on open ticket not implemented yet, vote for this feature if you want it.
