A bit like Apple store.. apps gets tested to conform to standards and making sure it doesn't break something in their own system.
Well just have to bear with it as the result will be way better than Synology's way of doing it. Just my opinion.

I get that, but many of us already have a non official package installed with a previous version. We will have to remove it and install the new one once it is released. What is the problem with having a 1.6.1 unofficial package and then changing it once it gets officially released? At the end of the day, we'll have to do exactly the same thing once it is released, but at least we can get a WORKING version now... because many of us have a broken version and don't have any alternative... we wouldn't be insisting if everything was ok...
