[SOLVED] Playing files through sony remote ipad app...

I installed serviio on my laptop en connected it to my synology 109j.
All files are played correct when i am using te normal remote of my Sony bdv-e370 and the tv. No errors like 'no files' 'cannot play this file'.

The problem arises when i use the sony audioremote app foor iphone/ipad. All the files and flac music is visible. But when i select the file and the bdv-e370 as the renderer/player it says that it cannot play this kind of file. When selecting the file throught the normal handheld remote it works.

Can someone help me with this or has someone the same problem?

Other question can be the following: can the problem be tackled when installing serviio on the synology nas?

I hope that you can help me further, that i can play flac/lossles files from my NAS on de sony dbv-e370 without turning on the tv all the time and using the handheld remote.

Select the same profile you have selected for your sony for the IP address your iphone/ipad is using in the serviio console.

Is there an iOS or Android app that can play video files?

All the ones i found can play audio.

I use Upnplay on my droid X and it works great. You have to install a 3rd party video player. I use arcMedia as the video player.

I meant a remote DNLA app to watch movies on Serviio on bravia tv, audio works so far

never even looked at an app like that yet. I will have to see if there is one for my samsung D5300
