Cannot see my LE40C650... and not for lack of trying...

Hi there, hope some one can help me here because I am at the end of my tether....
I have a LE40C650 wired to a Belkin F5D7632. I can access the internet channels (iPlayer, etc) without any problem, but there is where the good news stops.
I have tried to connect to the TV via AllShare from a Windows 7 laptop, but I could never see the TV as an available device.
I have tried to connect to the TV via AllShare App from my Galaxy S, but I could never see the TV.
I have now installed Serviio and still I cannot see the TV.
I have tried with the TV network setting on automatic (DHCP) and manual.
I think Serviio is configured OK, because I can see and play the media I am sharing with it on my Galaxy S.

What I am experiencing at the moment is that the TV is not picked up automatically in "Renderer Profiles".
If I add it manually by adding the IP address and selecting "C/D series" as profile the colour indicator stays amber and I cannot see Serviio in Media Player or AllShare.

Again while this happens I can see and play the same files on the Galaxy S (Generic DLNA profile).

To make sure all services are working correctly after performing changes I have rebooted the laptop.

Thanking you all in advance

bind your IP in the serviio console.

Forgot to say 192.168.2.3 is my Galaxy S (I steamed a song to it before taking the log)

Serviio sees your TV.

how are you trying to get the TV to show serviio? Some Samsungs treat a DLNA as a source. So you would use the input/source button to access it.

Re: Cannot see my LE40C650... and not for lack of trying...

Have you checked in the tv in menu, network, allshare-settings, media on, in the media list behind that if the server is permitted to stream?
The steps are right, the words could be a bit off, I'm too lazy to change the language setting in my tv but you probably get the point.

Re: Cannot see my LE40C650... and not for lack of trying...

moeilijk I checked the settings and they are ON as you suggest.

moltra, the plot thickens...

After your reply I though I would get an Ethernet cable a wire my laptop to the router rather than using wireless.
Wired IP address for the laptop is 192.168.2.9 (put this value in the Bound IP).
TV was recognized automatically (I had removed the manual entry), status light went to green and media could be seen and played by the TV.... Fantastic.
Unplugged the Ethernet cable changed the laptop address (and the value in Bound IP) back to .5, rebooted etc... and I am back to square one.
From Serviio console the the TV status is RED and no device is seen by the TV.

I have repeated the steps a couple of time... same result... I am attaching the new logs...

I went a step further and switched off the firewall all together, but the result is still the same... Serviio works with the TV when the laptop is hardwired to the router and does not.

I am going to get an old PC out of the loft and install Serviio on it and behaviour is the same for XP.

It could be a setting on your router. Look at the wireless settings and see if there is a DLNA/UPNP if there is change the setting to the opposite it is now and see how it works.

I actually run linux on a 2004 computer and connect that straight to my router and let it serve my movies 24/7.

Could be the router indeed. Some routers protect wifi by disabling direct connection to other clients on the network. Especially if the network is not secured by default.

Re: Cannot see my LE40C650... and not for lack of trying...

Well... It looks like it is the router that is letting me down for the wireless side...
I installed Serviio on my old XP PC and the behaviour was the same as with Windows 7 (works when wired and does not work when wireless) and I tried my hand with linux just to get the same result...
I wonder if my wife will buy me a new router for Valentine. ;)

Thanks all for your help and suggestions
