UA55D7000 samsung 55 inch LED no Resume

Hi,
As per the subject heading this model can't seem to use the resume function, its all greyed out on the tv. All other functions work fine.
I have read a few posts and I thought Serviio had support for this model, or is this not correct.

I did a total uninstall and reinstall - same thing.
Weird thing is the other night i was getting frustrated and installed a few other dlna softwares and actually it worked for a few times until i kept changing the profile.
But anyway it is greyed out for this series.

any one have a descriptive fix ?

Note : all files are axactly the same as they are all tv recordings so nothing special, just your normal ts files

As well i just went through some of the recordings, all good, but one of them had the ff/rr etc greyed out.
When all the files are exactly the same why would this happen.

Hi again. I logged a job against this one but they closed it. They did say it could be the file format, but i can confirm this has nothing to with it. I prooved this the other nite whilst putting in different profiles. With the smaller recording timeshift became usable again, but not for some recordings so it does work with .ts files.
All reocring formats are .ts.

I love serviio as the only reason i'm using it because samsung are so stupid in supplying auto refresh of media every X minutes. Going in to manually to do this is not even thinkable. why does anyone want to do this. Samsung why don't you add a bit of cream to your products like adding this feature and may increase your sales.

So i have tried all diffferent DLNA solutions but none allow timeshift for this model

Hi, The file format is .ts which is a world standard tv recording format. All files are .ts
Anyone else there using this model tv for feedback re serviio .

I'm currently using the default dlna profile which works fine, except it dosen't have resume, which i suppose i can live without.
Great product though serviio, well done to all the developers.

.ts is mpeg and Samsung D Series will not jump or resume mpeg. Major product defeciency as previously posted.

You have to use the Samsung profile (c/d) to have resume enabled for supported files. Generic will not have it for any files.

Hi, yes i understand that. I used that profile for the c and d series but some files had resume, whilst others didn't even though they are all .ts files. I think its got to do with the length of the file. But, again i used this profile and only worked for some and not others. some even didn't have timeshift available as it was greyed out. So i can live with what i have as it is ok :0

Hi All. It has been a while since i last posted regarding the no resume on this model. As mentioned the resume function is greyed out when using this profile ( which is the correct one ) The files it is playing back are stock standard digital tv recordings so .ts files. I have just been using the standard dlna to playback files. I see serviio had version 1.1 out and you can purchase a proffessional version. I don't want to pay money if this doesn't work. But has anyone an update if this has been fixed. Is there another samsung D series owner out there that this is working for ? ( make sure you are talking about stock standard .ts files ) Thanks and look forward to hearing back.

You can still download 1.0.1 and use it for free, just without some additional features.

I don't think there has been any change is this regard though. Does that work with Samsung's AllShare server?

Hi. Yes resume works with allshare perfectly for just about any file. Well my ts files resume perfectly. Except allshare is the biggest load of C%%%p as it doesn't automatically refresh the dbase. I have to manually refresh each time anything changes. Serviio is fine in this regard, but missing one vital factor to finnish my quest, and that is resume as it is greyed out with serviio. I have used all the profiles in serviio and none work. Will there be any updates on this one. Is there a way to get allshare to automatiacally refresh ?

Hi, now i know why i didn't use version 1.01 as the ff/rw buttons on the tv are greyed out. so i can do even less with this version as well as resume( and i know resume only works after you have ff, then stopped and play again)

Make sure you are using the Samsung c/d/e profile, otherwise resume won't work.

Also try to remove this from the c/d/e profile and restart the PC:

Thanks Zip. Yes i removed the code that you ask to be removed. Restarted pc and tv. Still resume after stop and start of movie greyed out and so is the ff/rw.

Hang on Zipppppppp maaaattteee I changed all the profile to cd and e, deleted the code you ask to delete and restarted the TV and.............................IT WORKS, you are a champion and so is your product, thankyou so much as now i have all i need. I hope you win the lottery and samsung ask to buy your code to replace their allshare product, thankyou thankyou

can you post MediaInfo of one or two of the MKV files that would not ffwd before the change?

Your gonna kill me Zipster. Guess what, i accidently opened allshare and thought that was serviio.
Sorry, but still no ff/rr and resume. I only use .ts files from your post before. Do you want me to forward you anything ?
