.mkv files choke on Samsung UN46EH5300

Hi all,

I just bought a Samsung UN46EH5300 and have successfully installed Serviio on two of my computers (both Mac Book Pros, one from late 2007, one from late 2011). I can see my TV in the list of Renderer Profiles in the Serviio Console (C/D/E profile), and on the TV side of things, I can see my video files. I have played several .avi files seemingly without problem, but when I try .mkv files, they "choke" every 10-20 seconds (TV screen says "loading..." for several seconds before video resumes). This makes it unwatchable. I have tried it with both my computers with the same result (when one computer is on, the other is off), even with increasing the number of CPU cores to use for transcoding, but to no avail. I thought the newer/faster computer would work better but no. The two .mkv files I tried are HD ("2001" at 1080p and "Bladerunner" at 720p), both choke/stutter the same (you'll see them in the log). I searched the forums for problems particular to my TV but I didn't find anything. I am attaching my log file here but to my untrained eyes I don't see anything out of the ordinary. I hope it's something I can fix as I really don't want to bring my computer into my bedroom (where TV is) and attach with HDMI (though during my testing I put the computer right next to the TV). Thanks for any help!

Re: .mkv files choke on Samsung UN46EH5300

it will probably down to your network (wifi?). The Samsungs don't transcode almost anything.
