Unable to get Serviio to work

I have followed the instructions as far as I can.
The Serviio is running - My TV is properly connected - I have carried out a ping test and confirmed that the computer recognises the server.

My rendering profile is not populated at the start - so I have addded the Sony BD player and entered the IP address. I have entered an image folder into the library and clicked image.
The coloured button in status do's not go green nor are there any Servio Icons on the TV screen.

I have an XP Windows home edition - virgin cable broadband connected to Router my computer and a Sony BD player.

Re: Unable to get Serviio to work

Look in you're serviio directory for the lkg directory. In the log directory you will see serviio.log attach that file hrre.

What is the computer running serviio anc the tv IP addresses?

Re: Unable to get Serviio to work

Few things:

1) remove the Sony renderer you added manually, it should find it automatically
2) You added some youtube videos to library, remove those and keep just your pictures folder
3) setup detailed log (link in my signature), restart your PC and after a while send the log again.

You can also check you don't have a firewall/antivirus blocking TCP 8895 and UDP 1800 ports.

Re: Unable to get Serviio to work

I have removed the Sony BD player from the rendereing- The box remains blank and is not populated automatically.

During PC shut down message " serviio console not responding - end program

On PC Start Serviio error - " Cannot connect to Serviio- it does not seem to be running"

I clicked servio console and the serviio was then running.

I will now upload the log file

How do I check if the firewall is blocking TCP8895 and UDP 1800 ports?

Re: Unable to get Serviio to work

there are no incomming connections from the .4 address. Are you running a firewall or antivirus? If yes, try to turn them off (just for now) and test it again.

Re: Unable to get Serviio to work

I think this (from the log file) looks like it could be a possible problem:
  Code:
2012-10-27 08:42:59,546 INFO  [ServiioConsole] Starting Serviio Console
2012-10-27 08:43:05,937 INFO  [ServiioConsole] Connecting to Serviio REST on localhost:23423
2012-10-27 08:43:20,703 WARN  [ServiioConsole] Cannot connect to the server to get DB initialization info
2012-10-27 08:43:30,859 WARN  [ServiioConsole] Cannot connect to server: Connection Error (1000) - Connection refused: connect
Using Serviio on Debian "Wheezy" with Xbox 360, Sony BDP-S370 & Panasonic E6.

Re: Unable to get Serviio to work

I assume that my Seviio problem cannot be fixed. I will therefore call it a day and uninstall it. Sadly I will be unable to realise the full potential of Sony until a workable peice of kit comes on the market.

Many thanks for your help so far.
