automation/scripting of public TV

I've got a serviio installation running and a Samsung TV as client. Works perfectly.
Now I need to automatically play specific movies at specific times - without human interaction.

Do you see any way to automate that?
I've researched a method with Media Player 12's DMC ("Play to") and AutoMe for automating user-input (mouse-clicks).
However that is quite fragile, for example as soon as a new UPNP device appears in my network, the mouse-click-postions change and it plays on the wrong device.

Re: automation/scripting of public TV

I've found a solution and I'll post it here, in case others have similar needs.
I'm using korva, which is a small, DBus-activateable daemon which can discover and push media files to UPNP devices.
Based on that I wrote a bash script that automates the pushing of media files. It works great with my Samsung 65" TV (2012 model).
