Newb trying to stream/transcode avi to Sony Bluray

How is this done?

I dont see an option/interface for modifying transcoding protocols.

I believe that the Sony doesn't do xvid or divx, so I need like a mp4 output or something like this.

Just looking for advice to steer me in the right direction.

It seems that it does so automatically for some avi, not for others.

it is also now apparently mp4 as mpeg and not letting them play without transcoding, even though mp4 is natively supported

What i find especially confusing is that mp4 files that I can stream with just the standard windows media player server need to be transcoded to work with serviio; I can understand that I have to do something to make my xvid/divx avi files play, cause the sony doesnt support them natively.

MKV containers, which the sony does support, stream fine with serviio but arent recognized at all by the windows server.

Sony BDP on US does not support Divx, these should be transcoded...We have to make a specific US profile, in next release probably.
