Re: Transcode/Remux panasonic .MOV files D series

Try adding this to the first Video transcoding section in the C/D/E profile:

  Code:
<Matches container="mp4" vCodec="mjpeg" />

Re: Transcode/Remux panasonic .MOV files D series

Hi Petr,

I have a similar problem to vichper which I hope you will be able to solve, but my tv is an "ES" series.

I have an HP H40L server running WHS 2011. I downloaded your Serviio plugin (v0.6.1 I believe) and during installation it downloaded Serviio server.
I have a Samsung ES6300, but my .mov files wouldn't work with the default DNLA profile. Neither would they work with the Samsung C/D profile. I then downloaded the 1.0.1 version of the server and found the Samsung C/D/E profile. However the .mov file still didn't work. I also tried adding the line:
<Matches container="mp4" vCodec="mjpeg" />
to no avail.

Interestlingly, this file sort of worked when choosing a Sony profile - sorry I don't remember which - but it always stopped after around 20 seconds.

I suspect I just need to tweak a profile setting so here is the info I get from the ffmep command:
Guessed Channel Layout for Input Stream #0.1 : mono
Input #0, mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2, from 'E:\ServerFolders\Videos\video_home\2008\P1020134.MOV':

Stream #0:1(eng): Audio: pcm_u8 (raw / 0x20776172), 8000 Hz, mono, u8, 64 kb/s
At least one output file must be specified

I'd be really grateful if you could suggest what I would need to do to be able to view these videos on my Samsung tv.
Let me know if you need further information.

Re: Transcode/Remux panasonic .MOV files D series

Dear Petr,

I cannot play a .MOV file with the following "ffmpeg -i" output:

I have a Samsung UE32EH5300, I selected the profile "Samsung TV/player (C/D/E)". Serviio 1.1 is installed on Linux Ubuntu 12.04.
Allshare under Windows XP plays the file without problem, so I guess it' s a configuration problem.
Could you please help me?

Thanks a lot

Re: Transcode/Remux panasonic .MOV files D series

If you mean the program, ffmpeg is updated. I also did the same with Avconv (it is the suggested one by Ubuntu, they say ffmpeg use is deprecated), but the output is the same.
Please let me know what data you need and how I can give it to you.

Thanks

Re: Transcode/Remux panasonic .MOV files D series

It's not detailed (no DEBUG rows there), see my signature for a link on how to set that up

Re: Transcode/Remux panasonic .MOV files D series

You are not using the right profile:

  Code:
2013-01-01 20:53:31,410 DEBUG [VideoDeliveryEngine] Delivering item '102' for client 'IPAddress=/192.168.0.110, Profile=Generic DLNA profile'
2013-01-01 20:53:31,410 DEBUG [VideoDeliveryEngine] Delivering file '2012-05-19-338.mp4' in native format

Re: Transcode/Remux panasonic .MOV files D series

I' ve changed the profile, but nothing changes. The reply from tv is always: unsupported format.
I' m attaching both the log and the config files.

Thanks

Re: Transcode/Remux panasonic .MOV files D series

Ok, now FFmpeg failed, possibly because it's an old version. Try to run this command:

  Code:
ffmpeg -threads auto -i "/home/raffaele/Scrivania/test serv/100_4331.MOV" -y -copyts -c:v mpeg2video -qscale:v 1 -r 24000/1001 -g 15 -mpegts_m2ts_mode 1 -c:a ac3 -b:a 192k -ar 48000 -ac 1 -map 0:0 -map 0:1 -sn -f mpegts /tmp/Serviio/transcoding-temp-106-7-ORIGINAL.stf
