Re: Vizio Help Please

How are you trying to get it to work on your TV? I have the Vizio 60" and when I bring up the app bar and select media all my DLNA servers are shown including Serviio. There were no settings to change to get it to work. Is your TV connected to your network via hardwire or wireless? I found the wireless on these TV's not very reliable or stable. I would suggest you use the CAT5 connection on your tv.

Re: Vizio Help Please

Anyone have luck streaming video in Mastroska (mkv) containers to Vizio E-series TV? I use MKV for built-in chapter support, and would like to be able to skip forward and backwards to chapter points in a long video. I prefer to use MPEG4 video codec and a AAC audio codec in the container.

Re: Vizio Help Please

I don't typically use MKV as it is hard to find hardware that will stream it. I use Xvid as this seems to work on all my streaming boxes as well as the PS3. Of course I don't have the chapter support but I will sacrifice it.

Re: Vizio Help Please

Vizio doesn't seem to support the MKV container, and not all codecs in an AVI container. I've tried MKV over DLNA and on USB memory (which works better than DLNA) but MKV's don't work. Renaming mine to MP4 did make them playable, though.
