Ipad Media Browser Issue

Not sure if this is a known issue but I thought I would report it.

So my movie collection is well over 500 movies and many season's of shows. I keep all the movies in the same folder and TV shows each in their own folders. When I open the created movie folder or when I just open the default movie folder built into the mediabrowser on my ipad I have the same issues. It seems as though it doesn't want to load all the movies. When I scroll down sometimes it stops at a random distance down to where I can't see every movie I have. I haven't been able to determine if there is a bottomed out value yet. I'm sure there is nothing I can do on the ipad to allow the default movie folder to work but I can split the folder I created up so I can see them all. Right now I don't use the ipad to watch a whole lot of movies but I just thought I would report it incase someone does have the issue and would like a fix. Also when I look at the mediabrowser from a PC all the movies are there.

Thank you,

Pleblo

weird, perhaps the iPad runs out of memory or the browser rejects to load more data..? can you try it in Safari on a Mac? or Chrome on iPad?

Re: Ipad Media Browser Issue

Under Safari
I tested this and see some interesting results. Most of the time, whether browsing the Movies or Folders category, MB will show the first xx movies and appears to stop. If however you pause slightly and swipe up again, the other items will show up (not necessarily in one hit, you may get this effect a few times before you get your full list) ie. the tiles are delivered in chunks - in my case it appears to 18 items at a time. I also looked at my photos and same effect is seen. Once the list is fully loaded you can scroll up and down smoothly.

Appears to be simply buffering - however...

Inconsistently I see what Pleblo is seeing: while browsing the titles (under either the Folders or Movies Category for me) it would once again only show the first xx items, but every once and a while the next set of video tiles would not load. Pausing and swiping failed to load any further items. When it does happen, if you navigate out of the category and straight back in, the problem was fixed for me (by that I mean it reverted back to presenting the list in chunks).

Re: Ipad Media Browser Issue

Yes, it always loads 18 items until you scroll further down, which then loads another 18. Its called infinite scrolling, similar to Facebook. What you are seeing looks like the javascript doesnt recognize you are in the scrollable area where it should make a new request. I will look into it.
